Naoto comments that Draken was killed on August 03, 2005 after an altercation with Mikey that Takemichi is unaware of until now, and that preventing his death is critical to changing the present. It is commented in the article that he died in a fight on August 03 while because of Mikey they got into a fight and beat each other up... or so it seemed... he will soon find out what and who the real motive was.
It's decided, it's time to go back!
Takemichi has his target ready, he knows who to save and he knows what he has to do.
Now in the past he opens his eyes, but what is that strange environment... that's where he met "Emma" they were in a somewhat... embarrassing situation to which Takemichi shouts:
-WHAT AM I DOING HERE?!
He runs out of there when he meets again with Hina, his girlfriend, he is super nervous, he doesn't even know what to say, when he gets a call on his phone, it was Draken!
He asks him to go to the temple because there is an important ToMan meeting there. Hina could go too if she wanted to.
They are intimidated by many gang members but Draken protects them since they are the
boss's special guests. When they are about to start Draken mentions that Emma can take care
of Hina while they have the meeting. And surprise surprise it was the same Emma that Takemichi had an awkward situation with.
And Hina ended up finding out everything at the end of the day when Emma tells all without leaving out a single detail.
Hina gets angry and beats up Takemichi and then leaves. Emma is surprised that he went with her, considering he had Hinata, and explains she isn't interested in Takemichi, but just wanted to grow faster, and hoped Ken will get at least a bit angry, but he only cares about Manjiro, bikes and fighting.
Because Emma Love Draken (Ken)
The meeting begins, we talk to Pa-Chin, a founding member of Tokyo Manji Kai. He wants with all his heart to avenge a friend, as a rival gang called "Moebius" has beaten up a friend of his and his girlfriend, plus other details. And in tears he cries out:
-OF COURSE I WANT TO FIGHT! I WANT TO CRUSH THOSE FOOLS!
And Mikey asks if they are afraid or think it's too much trouble to fight for their friend, but everyone just smiles. Manjiro then shouts out that they are going to crush Moebius on August 3, the Musashi Festival!!!!!
Unable to think of anything, Takemichi decides to be Ken's bodyguard, but the next day, Ken declines. Takemichi decides to follow Ken.
After eating, Manjiro falls asleep and Ken carries him. Ken takes Manjiro to the hospital, where Pah's friend's girlfriend is, who has been unconscious for five days. Her father shows up and yells at them, because his daughter is in that state because of people like them. Ken ducks his head,
while Manjiro tells him that it is not necessary as they have done nothing wrong.
As the father continues to yell and Manjiro gets angry, Ken pushes his head down, telling him to shut up and states that they take full responsibility. The father starts crying for his daughter and leaves.
Ken tells Manjiro that they will deal with their problems in their own world and that each of their members have people important to them, and they can't let innocent people get dragged into this. Manjiro doesn't need to bow his head, but to have a heart that cares about others. Manjiro apologizes and is glad that Ken is by his side. As Takemichi listened behind the corner, he realizes why Manjiro had changed after Ken's death, but he is sure that those two would never fight.
After a little investigation that he went back to the future, he goes back to the past and runs to an abandoned warehouse where the key members are having a discussion for August 03 for the fight and Takemichi interferes, when we least expected Osanai appears along with moebius and his gang, and Pa-Chin is the first to run to hit him but unfortunately gets a tremendous beating....
everyone, including takemichi, thinks that all is lost...
An atomic kick from Mikey shut Osanai's mouth once and for all.
Mikey says his famous line:
“ToMan belongs to me. As long as i’m standing in the background no one can lose"
As Mikey and Draken talk, Osanai manages to get up and grabs a broken bottle, and as he runs towards Ken and Manjiro, Takemichi shouts:
-Drakeeeeen!
As we see a bloodstain flying....
it's all over, the past can't be changed.... BUT SURPRISE! Draken manages to stop it easily. Ken tells Osanai that he lost by losing the way of crime since everything he did was wrong.
Seeing how strong Manjiro and Ken is, the Moebius members start to fear them. Ken then announces that Moebius will be under Tokyo Manji Gang. As they hear the police approaching, everyone runs.
Takemichi is surprised that everything ended so peacefully and wonders if he is missing something. At that moment, Pah-chin stabs Osanai in the back, which shocks everyone. Pah-chin apologizes to Manjiro and tells them to run, as he intends to turn himself in. Mikey wants Pa-Chin to go with them and not turn himself in, while Draken tells Mikey that they must run or they will catch them all. As they run, Takemichi loses consciousness, because of the blows.
Takemichi spends three days at home and, being bored, ends up finishing a big puzzle. His friends visit him and tell him that Toman is in a bad situation and is likely to split up, but then they start laughing and explain that Ken and Manjiro often fight. Just then Ken shows up bringing watermelon and surprises everyone. While eating it, Ken tells them that Pah-chin will be held for a year and that Nobutaka is alive. Takemichi asks about Manjiro, which makes Ken angry and bangs the table, messing up Takemichi's puzzle. Ken states that he is no longer friends with Manjiro and that Toman is splitting up and then leaves.
As Ken leaves Takemichi's home, he sees Manjiro in front and both wonder what the other one is doing there. Both state they are there to see Takemichi, who is their friend. As they continue to argue, Takemichi tries to stop them, which annoys Ken. Manjiro then takes Takemichi's bike and throws it at Ken, who dodges and the bike breaks on the wall. Ken takes a bat that Takemichi scored a homerun and breaks it. As they continue to fight, they continue to break Takemichi precious items as he cries over them. As they break everything and prepare to fight, Takemichi gets angry and tells them to stop.
Miraculously the situation is funny to both of them (Mikey and Draken) and they reconcile, everyone in Tokyo Manji is surprised as no one has ever managed to do that, not even the founding members of Tokyo Manji.
Who are:
-Mitsuya
-Pachin
- And others that they would have really importance later.
With Manjiro and Ken no longer fighting, Takemichi realizes he changed history and Ken won't die. Hinata and Emma show up and Hinata asks Takemichi if he is free on August 3rd as she wants to go to the festival with him and Takemichi gladly accepts. Emma sees Ken and Manjiro together and realizes they have made up and are no longer fighting.
He is annoyed at Yamagishi for calling in that moment, but Yamagishi tells him to warn Ken to watch his back as he heard that some that support Manjiro and going after Ken, and even though Ken and Manjiro are good now, some guys from their factions are even more riled up because of that. Takemichi realizes the conflict haven't stopped.
Takemichi hangs up the phone and apologizes to Hinata and asks her to wait for him. He goes around looking for Ken, but finds some of Toman members with a Moebius guy, who gives Kiyomasa a blade and Kiyomasa stating that he will kill Ken. One of Kiyomasa's guys finds Takemichi and brings him to Kiyomasa. Kiyomasa then orders Takemichi to go buy them drinks and he and his gang start beating Takemichi. Takemichi realizes that he have not got stronger, but only believed so as he was around Manjiro and Ken. After beating him up, Kiyomasa ties Takemichi with a duck tape and leaves him.
Some moments later, Hinata finds tied up Takemichi and removes the duck tape from his mouth. Takemichi starts crying, stating that he tried his best, but in the end he couldn't save anyone. If he was like Manjiro or Ken, he could have beaten them, but as he is worthless, he couldn't do anything.
Hinata then kisses him, saying it was her first kiss and she gave it to him as he is special to her.
After crying for a bit, Hinata frees Takemichi and he decides to go and stop Kiyomasa.
Takemichi meets Takashi Mitsuya and informs him that Ken will be attacked, however, Takashi already knows, but is surprised that it is Masataka and not Peyan. Takashi reveals that Manjiro wanted to pay to free Pah-chin, but Ken objected. Takashi is surprised that Takemichi managed to stop Manjiro and Ken's fight, even after their captains couldn't, but thanks him for being able to split Toman. Takashi states that they all came to the agreement that they could do nothing against Pah-chin, except Peyan. Elsewhere, Peyan finds Ken and Emma.
While looking for Draken, Mitsuya explains that Peyan(Pa-chin best friend) believes Toman abandoned Pah-chin and teamed up with some Moebius members to take out Draken. Seeing Peyan, Ken knows that he isn't happy with what happened and prepares to fight him, but suddenly a Moebius member attacks him with a bat from behind.
Takemichi recalls Naoto words about Ken's incident happening on a parking lot and heads towards the parking lot. They find Ken fighting numerous Moebius members. As he is getting tired, he sits on the ground and tells Takashi that he leaves things to him. A moment later, they hear a bike and recognize its Manjiro Sano's. Manjiro gets of his bike and realize he was called somewhere else so that Peyan can be with Ken and break Toman, but wonders who tricked him into doing that.
Shuji Hanma reveals himself by claiming that Manjiro is not just muscle and introduces himself as the temporary leader of Moebius. Manjiro tries to kick him in the head, but Shuji manages to block it. Shuji reveals that his intention was to destroy Toman by making them fight internally, but that this is also okay since he can kill Manjiro with his bare hands. Shuji then calls 100 of the Moebius members and warns them not to run or he will chase them down and pull out all their teeth. Takemichi realizes that he has turned the tables and a new conflict arises.
As Moebius prepares to fight the four Toman members, the rest of Toman arrives on motorcycles, ready for the fight. As the fight begins, Takemichi goes in search of Ken, wishing to protect him from Masataka Kiyomizu. While beating up the Moebius members, Manjiro approaches Peyan and asks him why he attacked Ken, even though they have patched things up. Peyan does not accept that Toman has given up on Pah-chin and starts beating Manjiro. He claims that Pah-chin was everything to him and that if Toman abandoned him, it is only natural for him to become his enemy. Peyan knows that Manjiro can beat him with one blow, but wonders why he doesn't fight. Manjiro pulls Peyan's head to his and tells him to look at him and if he has ever smiled about catching Pah-chin. Takemichi had told Manjiro that he would be sad if Toman was broken by their fight and Manjiro had never thought that Toman could finish them all off by fighting. Manjiro asks Peyan to keep beating him until he is satisfied, but he doesn't want to fight his own family and wishes Peyan would come back to them.
While waiting for the ambulance, Takemichi sees Kiyomasa and his gang approaching. As he panics, Draken wakes up and thanks him for helping him and tells him to take Hinata and Emma and run away. Takemichi realizes that Ken may have noticed that Takemichi wanted to run away,
but since he lost everything by running away, he decides not to let his second chance slip away. He turns to Masataka and tells him that he is not going to run away and that he is going to get revenge. Takemichi comments that they haven't finished their fight as he hasn't lost because he still alive.
Takemichi finally sees Kiyomasa and decides to stop him, but then sees that he is holding a bloody blade as he repeats that he did it. Takemichi then turns around and sees Draken bleeding on the ground...
Can't the past be altered? Is this the end? Will the same horrible future be approved?
Manjiro tells Takemichi to take care of Draken. Seeing that Ken is still alive, Takemichi puts him on his back and tries to carry him to a hospital. Hinata and Emma see him and inform him that an ambulance has been called.
He realizes it was his own fault as he was too weak to challenge anyone again. Takemichi then tackles Masataka and bites him. As Masataka hits him trying to make him let go, Takemichi manages to get on his back and starts choking him, stating that he may not be like Manjiro, but is Takemichi Hanagaki. As he doesn't let go, Masataka eventually loses consciousness and Takemichi wins.
Takemichi is with Draken in the ambulance as they drive to the hospital. Draken thanks Takemichi for saving his life and tells him to take care of Manjiro. At that moment he suffers a cardiac arrest and the doctors begin to perform CPR on him. They arrive at the hospital and immediately take him to the operating room. One by one Takemichi's friends and Toman members arrive. Manjiro tells them that Ken is a man of his word and that he promised him that they would rule the world together, so he will not die and they must believe in him.
this was the end... or so everyone thought...
When the operation is over, the doctors come out and inform them that the operation was successful and Draken is alive. The group rejoices and celebrates.
As they leave the hospital, Takemichi realizes after midnight that it is August 4, which means that Draken did not die on August 3 and that the mission was a success. While the inhabitants of Toman rejoice to see Draken alive, Takemichi realizes that Manjiro is missing and goes to look for him.
He finds him alone in a corner, crying with relief that Draken is alive, and decides not to interfere.
After a few days Takemichi knows it is time to return,
Takemichi wishes to stay with the rest, but decides it is time to return to the present. He goes to Hinata's house to see Naoto. Since he has gotten Hinata in trouble, he tries to make it up to her and gives her a necklace of four clovers.
Although things would not be completely solved...
Love and pain are about to meet...
